Chris Schnare

Chris is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), CSEP High Performance Specialist, and the Founder and Owner of Synergy Health & Sports Performance. He has been working extensively within these respective fields since 2006. Synergy found its roots in a 4000sq ft facility located in Lincoln, NB. The success of the original facility, led to the opening of a new, larger facility in September 2014 in Fredericton, NB.

Following the completion of his Bachelor of Science Kinesiology degree from UNB Fredericton, Chris worked for the Department of National Defence as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, instructor and fitness test administrator.

Chris has led the development and has acted as Director for various health & wellness initiatives within the City of Fredericton and is passionate about developing and presenting various rehabilitation and sports performance seminars. Chris coaches as a National Weightlifting Club Coach, and has worked extensively with several sport team organizations in Fredericton, including the Men’s and Women’s Loyalists Rugby Clubs, Black Bears High Performance International Wrestling club and the REDS Volleyball club.

He has a special interest in the long-term development of youth athletes, as well as a personal passion for back health education and injury rehabilitation . He works closely with professional athletes, International, National and Provincial athletes from a variety of sports. He has coached World Champions, National Champions, National record holders as well as individuals participating as Canadian World Team members from various sports.

Synergy has become a “Go To” location for serious competitive athletes, fitness enthusiasts and those suffering from chronic pain.

With a personal athletic background deeply rooted in wrestling, submission grappling and powerlifting, Chris has a continued interest in combative sports, rugby, powerlifting, strongman training, and personally enjoys spending his down time doing any outdoor physical activities!
